If the nerve in a tooth is irreversibly inflamed or has died, a root canal may be indicated. During this procedure, Dr. Ledford will carefully remove the nerve of the tooth and clean and disinfect the root canal space. A material will then be placed to seal the space. For certain teeth that need root canals, Dr. Ledford may refer you to an endodontist, who is a specialist who has received years of advanced training to treat root canals.
