Deep Cleanings

This may be indicated for those patients who have severe bone loss (also known as periodontal disease) and wish to establish a state of health for their gums.  If left untreated, bone loss will progress and you may eventually lose your teeth. Oftentimes, when a patient appears “long in the tooth,” periodontal disease may be a contributing factor. During this visit, you will usually receive anesthetic by Dr. Ledford and the dental hygienist will then proceed to remove tartar above and below the gums.
