Dentures

A patient may either have a complete removable denture or partial removable denture made. A complete removable denture replaces either all of the teeth on the top or all of the teeth on the bottom arch. A partial removable denture replaces some of the missing teeth on either the top or bottom arch. Both of these restorations are removable, meaning that they are not cemented in place and are excellent options for patients who are missing teeth. The following pictures show dentures that have completed by our dental team.

Some patients have severely broken down teeth and are interested in having a denture, but not necessarily going without teeth for any period of time. Routinely in our office, a denture is placed the same day that all of the teeth are taken out. This restoration is called  an immediate complete denture. The following pictures show immediate dentures that have been completed by our dental team.

During her time at UNC School of Dentistry, Dr. Ledford spent time at Mountain Home VA Medical Center in Johnson City, Tennessee solely focusing on treating patients who needed extractions and dentures.
